Keynotes
From Breakdown to Breakthrough: Building a multi-million dollar social enterprise after burnout:
In her early 30s, it looked like Emma had it all: an international career, three young children, including a set of twins, creative pursuits and a seemingly glamorous life. In truth, she’d leaned in so far, she fell flat on her face. After a gruelling series of work trips, she collapsed, burnt out and broken. In this inspiring and transformative talk, Emma shares her personal journey and what she has learned from failure, dealing with mental health issues, and following her heart. She will impart practical lessons on leadership, entrepreneurship and how you too can build the life of your dreams.
Overcoming imposter syndrome and leading with authenticity:
If you feel like a fraud, even though you're crushing it, you are not alone! Many systems are designed to make women and marginalised groups feel like they don’t belong. Emma shares how she overcame imposter syndrome and offers practical guidance on how to lead with authenticity. She explores the systemic drivers of imposter syndrome while simultaneously providing solutions at an individual level, that will impact your life today.
Gender Equality Starts with You:
Gender inequality plays out in Australian workplaces every day. Women make up only 5% of CEOs of ASX 200 & ASX 500 companies, and most boards are still dominated by men. A gender pay gap of 13.8% persists. 1 in 3 people have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace, and rates are even higher for First Nations people, women with disabilities, and gender-diverse individuals. To advance gender equality in Australia, reduce rates of harassment, and inspire a new generation of leaders, an innovative and evidence-based approach to education is essential. Emma explains what workplaces need to do to create meaningful change.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion: Creating meaningful change:
Today’s workplaces face pressure from all angles, and are being called to rise to the challenge of confronting inequality at work. Navigating this current period of change can feel daunting, but Emma shares insights from years spent supporting leaders, individuals, and organisations that empower attendees to address the root causes of these issues through brave conversations and meaningful solutions that resonate. This is complex, long-term work, but the first steps can be simple. For organisations that are looking to go deeper, Emma shares specific actions to commit to building a culture of equality and inclusion in your workplace.
